<오늘 공부할 문장>  

We're closing in on a contract with a new supplier. We're still in the process of working out a few fine details. We've made some additional requests and if they're willing to meet us halfway, we're very anxious to get things moving forward.

새 공급처와의 계약이 거의 성사되려고 하고 있어요.

 - close in on something : 달성하고자 하는 목표 또는 지점이 거리가 좁혀진다, 가까워진다. 

 

<두번째 문장>

We're still in the process of working out a few fine details.

아직 몇 가지의 세부사항들을 조율중이에요.

 - We're in the process of something : ~ 과정에 있다. 

 - work out : 1. 운동하다.

                 2. 의견 또는 조건을 조율한다.

 cf) 구동사: work it out with <누구>, work things out with <누구>

               ~와 의견조율을 통해 답/해결을 찾다.

 - find detail : 세부사항

 

<세번재 문장>

We've made some additional requests and if they're willing to meet us halfway, we're very anxious to get things moving forward.

우리가 추가요청을 몇 가지 있는데 그들이 중간에서 타협을 해 줄 의향이 있다면 우리는 빨리 일을 진행시키고 싶어요.

 - meet someone halfway: 나와 상대방의 요구사항을 중간에서 타협한다. 계약 뿐만아니라 일상생활에서도 많이 사용되는 표현. ex) come on, meet me halfway here.

 - get things moving forward: 일을 진행시키다.
